  6.     Don't spend hours reinstalling Windows 95 when WinRescue 95 can
  7. restore it in less than 2 minutes.  If for some reason, the Registry of Windows
  8. 95 gets corrupted, run WinRescue 95 to fix the problem.  If you can not 
  9. get into Windows 95, there is a DOS version of WinRescue 95 that will do 
  10. the repairing from outside of Windows 95.  As an added precaution you can 
  11. use WinRescue 95 to periodically make up to ten different backups of the
  12. Registry.

  14. Overview

  17. 1.  WinRescue 95 restores the Registry to three configurations: the previously 
  18. loaded configuration, any of ten saved configurations (this is of course if you
  19. have used WinRescue 95 to save backups), and the original configuration
  20. (Windows 95 will start out by putting all the executable files in the startup 
  21. menu, asking for the user name and password, validating your time zone, etc).
  22. 2.  WinRescue 95 makes up to ten special backup copies of Windows 95, just
  23. in case normal backup procedures fail.  It also backs up Windows
  24. Initiation Files, Bootup Files, and Start Menu structure.
  25. 3.  WinRescue 95 can prompt you regularly (monthly, weekly, daily) to
  26. make backups.  This option is found in the Prompt Menu.
  27. 4.  WinRescue 95 installs an emergency MS DOS program in the C directory 
  28. just in case Windows will not install.  Run "rescue.exe" from the C directory 
  29. DOS prompt or from the original diskette.
  30. 5.  WinRescue 95 can backup to and restore from diskette.
  31. 6.  WinRescue 95 allows the user to configure features, such as, Default 
  32. Directories, Files to Restore, Compress or Copy Files, and Backup Current or 
  33. Previous Registry.

  36. WinRescue 95 Setup

  39.      To setup, run "setup.exe".  This will install all neccessary files and 
  40. put five program icons (WinRescue95, Help, Install/Uninstall, DOS Rescue, 
  41. and Read Me) in a program group window.  When you need to restore 
  42. Windows 95, run "rescue95.exe".
  43.      To uninstall, run "setup.exe".
